Magali OLLAGNIER-BELDAME, a CNRS Research Scientist at the ICAR laboratory (UMR 5191) at the ENS of Lyon, holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive Sciences from the University of Lyon 2 and is a trainer in explicitation interviews. Her research focuses on the field of embodied cognition. Drawing on a first-person epistemology, she studies the lived experience of interactions between humans and between humans and nature. Her research aims to describe the diversity of knowledge modes that unfold in these interactions, particularly in their sensitive and intuitive dimensions.

Currently on a long-term mission at the UMR PIMIT, she is developing the projet EnVOH-HP (Encountering the Voice Of the eartH – Healing Plants) in interaction with the project TretZerbaj, and examines the thematization of traditional therapeutic knowledge of Reunion Island around medicinal plants, in their embodied and experiential dimensions. The expected outcomes are:
1. The development of reflexivity in the emergence, constitution, and mobilization of traditional ecological knowledge, to facilitate its transmission and integration with other types of knowledge, particularly academic ones;
2. The promotion of practices of sensitive ecology and an ethics of care.
