Thibaud GOUPIL joins the lab
Thibaud GOUPIL joins the lab as a Temporary Lecturer and Research Assistant (ATER) in the MOCA team. His research will focus on the Zika virus as part of the CAZIKANO project, with the following primary objectives:
Assessing the ability of contemporary African Zika virus strains to replicate and persist in human target cells, with implications for understanding the pathogenesis of viral infection.
Developing a preclinical model to evaluate the antiviral potential of endemic medicinal plants against the Zika virus and other orthoflaviviruses.
He will also undertake teaching responsibilities in chemistry and pharmacology within the Faculty of Health at the University of Reunion Island, particularly for second-year undergraduate students in Health Sciences (L2) and those enrolled in the PASS/L.AS program.
