Beginning of the field campaign for the 'ECOPI' project

As part of the "ECOPI" project, a sampling campaign of native and exotic bird communities on the island of Réunion began in November 2023, in collaboration with the French Office for Biodiversity (OFB) and the Ornithological Studies Society of Réunion (SEOR). This project aims to study the epidemiological consequences of modifying the bird community in Réunion due to invasive exotic species along a gradient of habitat urbanization. The study will continue for two consecutive years, with longitudinal monitoring of several study sites.
